Leonard Pitts Jr.: GOP feels the scourge of black voters' long memory. Apparently that memory doesn't include Democrats being their slavemasters, fighting for slavery, opposing integration, implementing Jim Crow laws, filibustering the civil rights act, breaking up the black family via welfare, and now shackling the black population with an entitlement/victim mentality starting out with failed public schools (also run by Democrats) that black kids are trapped in.
