The university is offering faculty no pay raise this year, a 2.25% increase next year and a 2.5% increase in the third year. The union had countered with a 2.2% increase this year; a 3.7% increase next year and a 3.9% increase in the following year.

The union ought to be happy they're getting anything at all. Take the offer and move on already!
